Crossfire Hurricane

Crossfire Hurricane

The Crossfire Hurricane
A cocktail with history, rhythm, and swagger. The original Hurricane first blew in at Pat O’Brien’s Bar in New Orleans — a drink served in a hurricane-lamp glass and synonymous with the city’s vibrant spirit. Decades later, our version turns up the volume with Crossfire Hurricane Rum, its name borrowed from the Stones’ Jumpin’ Jack Flash: “I was born in a crossfire hurricane.”

The Stones have always shared a deep connection with New Orleans. Local legend Allen Toussaint — the songwriter and horn arranger behind Fortune Teller, which the band covered early on — helped shape their sound. After recording Goats Head Soup in Jamaica, the Stones hit Toussaint’s Sea-Saint Studios in ’72 for horn overdubs. The Crossfire Hurricane captures that same energy: rum and rhythm, from Kingston to New Orleans.

  • 30ml pineapple juice
  • 15ml orange juice (or blood orange juice)

  • 5ml brown sugar syrup (2 parts sugar : 1 part water)
  • 5ml passion fruit syrup
